New Words -- The Washington Post's Mensa Invitational asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and then supply a new definition. These are the winners for 2005. There were several I thought were of particular importance.
New Definitions -- These definitions also came from a contest held by the Washington Post. Readers were asked to send in new definitions for familiar words. I chose my favourites to present to you here.
